In a world dominated by thicker cigars, the Médaille d’Or No. 4 from La Gloria Cubana stands out as a charming anachronism. This slender stick offers unique sweet notes amid its tight draw, with the 2013 aged-in-Cuba 'añejados' edition delivering a particularly rich final third of flavor.

Known in English as the 'Cuban Glory Gold Medal No. 4,' this cigar is one of the last of a disappearing breed: the premium hand-made long slender panetela. Panetelas can be categorized into two groups: the more substantial ones with ring gauges between 34 and 39, and the now-rarer 'slenderellas,' like this one, with a ring gauge of 33 or less (a nod to the now-discontinued Rafael González stick).
