In our passion and interest for our Honduran ancient roots, especially the Mayan Empire in Copan, which have a fascinating story and its where the tobacco roots came from, we created our rendition to the most important monument in Mayan history “Altar Q”. Altar Q is a special cigar packed in a 16-count box that is a replica of the altar imagery and concept of the monument itself. Each cigar represents one of the 16 Copan rulers and they are placed in the same order that they appear in the monument.
Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co., is located in Danli, Honduras. It started operating on 2012, the Factory was founded by Oscar Valladares, Hector Valladares and Bayron Duarte, with experience in the tobacco industry; Oscar worked for more than 9 years with Rocky Patel and Bayron worked for more than 20 years for General Cigars and Oliva.
Oscar Valladares started in the cigar industry almost like a destiny turn, he worked for a travel agency taking Rocky Patel´s Groups to make tours to the Factory. In a short time Rocky asked Oscar to be part of his team and for nine years he worked for him. During this time, Oscar met Bayron, who worked for General Cigars by that time and a long friendship began.
