Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. is well-known for its tobacco-leaf wrapped Leaf by Oscar line that has become a staple in humidors around the country, but for its newest release, the company is sending a dressed-up new line to Europe as an exclusive for that market It’s called the Santiago Valladares, a name that Oscar Valladares selected as a way to honour his son and leave a legacy in his name. As with most of Valladares’ blends, Honduran-grown tobacco is prominently featured, used for the wrapper and filler, though varietals have not been disclosed. The binder, meanwhile, comes from Nicaragua, the company said that it used “a selection of different tobaccos that Oscar have been waiting to be ready for this blend and that he haven’t use in other of his blends before.”
