Plasencia - Year of the Snake 2025 - El And De La Culebra - Box of 10 cigars

The Spanish word for snake is culebra, a word that has special meaning for cigar smokers. In February, Chinese New Year will ring in the upcoming Year of the Snake on the Chinese zodiac calendar, and therefore, cigar companies are beginning to announce new releases for the Year of the Snake. So far, Plasencia is the first to incorporate a culebra as part of its release.

 

Each box of the Plasencia El Año de la Culebra Edición Limitada 2025 includes two types of cigars: eight of the cigars are 7 x 40 lanceros, while two of the cigars are twisted into a culebra. Most culebras are made with three cigars twisted together, though this isn’t the first to use the two-cigar concept. All 10 cigars are made to be 7 x 40, but two are twisted together at the factory before being packaged, but are designed to be smoked separately. Blend-wise, the cigars are made entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco.
