The Souvenir de Luxe cigars are expertly crafted in the medium-flavored Punch blend, a classic choice beloved by generations in the UK. This brand incorporates tobaccos from Cuba's renowned Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Río.
The Souvenir de Luxe is the latest release in the popular Linea Retro series, first introduced in 2017 with the Partagás Capitols and Romeo y Julieta Club Kings, and later joined by the H. Upmann Regalias in 2020. All cigars in this Retro line are Marevas (measuring 5 1/8” or 124mm with a 42 ring gauge) and come in sleek tins of five, featuring either a pop-up or slide-off lid.
These retro metal tins, inspired by the pocket cigar cases popular in the 1970s, add portability and style to these new releases. The original cases have become coveted collector's items worldwide, often fetching high prices at auction.
Punch is one of the oldest Habanos brands still in production, being founded in the mid 19th century by Don Minuel Lopez. Aimed at the British Market with its branding, matching the popular publication at the time. In the 1930’s Punch was merged with Hoyo de Monterrey and to this day both are rolled at the La Corona factory.
Punch has a cult following with those who are looking for a medium bodied classic “Cuban” taste. Smooth and creamy with a woody and nutty flavour, with a little spice/pepper towards the end.
