Jose L Piedra

Jose L Peidra cigars differ from most of the hand rolled cigars exported from Cuba. While still being hand rolled, the tobacco used to create these cigars are all from short filler (tripa corta, totalmente a mano). The Peidra family moved to Cuba from Spain in the 1880s and settled near the central town of Santa Clara, in the Remedios region. Tobacco has been produced in the area since the 16^th Century primarily for the domestic market.

Once the family had established its self in the area, Jose Lamadrid Piedra took over the family business and started rolling cigars.
