Here in the UK we now only get this one form of Capstan tobacco, on the continent and now the states still get the Gold & Blue flake versions. To be honest we have plenty of similar alternatives to offer, to the flakes (Gold = Orlik Golden Sliced & Blue = Gawith Hoggarth Best Brown No2). This classic, traditional blend is comprised of 100% Virginia or different grades and the flavours produced by this shag cut is beautiful. The fluffy cut makes for easy packs and the tobaccos burns very well with little attention. If packed well and gently supped the smoke is very creamy, sweet with a butteriness, which shows why this tobacco has stood the test of time. A humble and honest tobacco, ideal for those like a no messing, easy to smoke blend.
