This Christmas pipe starts a new 7-year theme and series ‘The Happy Prince, which begins in 2023 and will end in 2029.
It is based on the characters of the (children’s) book ‘The Happy Prince and Other Tales’ written in 1888 by the Irish poet, playwright and author Oscar Wilde (Oscar Fingal O'Fflahertie Wills Wilde) (born 16 October 1854 in Dublin/Ireland, died 30 November 1900 in Paris/France).
This being the 1st pipe in the series, it depicts the The Statue of the Happy Prince.
The pipe is a classic group 4 Prince pipe (4107) in Cumberland finish. It features an engraved, solid Sterling Silver Army mount.
The impressive pipe tamper is 67 mm long and crafted from solid Sterling Silver. It depicts in great detail the statue of the Happy Prince and is embellished with 2 Sapphires (for the eyes) and one ruby (set into the sword hilt).
The highly collectable White Spot Christmas pipes and tampers are presented in a leather-bound book in elegant cream marble design. Each set is accompanied by its numbered limited edition certificate.
This edition series is strictly limited to annually only 300 pipes worldwide.
