Karahan is one of Turkey’s finest sculpture carvers when it comes to meerschaum. The attention to detail has seen his work brought by collectors the world over, as investments. Aside from the classical claw & egg and dragons head, Karahan takes inspiration from European classic art and pagan mythology. Each piece is carved from the finest, large block meerschaum over a number of days. Making use of coloured beeswax and other dyes, the artwork is shaded and coloured for sublime final pieces.
