A Memorable Evening with Christian Eiroa of CLE Cigars

Last night, we had the distinct honour of dining with Christian Eiroa, the visionary behind C.L.E Cigars, at the iconic Boisdale in Canary Wharf. Christian’s family has a storied legacy in the cigar industry, and he is also renowned for creating the legendary Camacho cigars. This intimate event was graciously organized by Scott Vines of Tor Imports, one of the key companies promoting New World cigars in the UK. I had the privilege of traveling to Nicaragua with Scott last year, making this reunion even more special.

The Evening Begins

Once our cigars were finished and conversations were flowing, we moved upstairs to a private dining room. We were welcomed by a speech from Scott Vines, followed by a fascinating talk from Christian Eiroa. Christian delved into the rich history of his cigar journey and discussed the evolving cigar market. It was intriguing to hear his insights on how New World cigars are increasingly appealing to the 25-40 age group, a demographic eager to explore diverse cigar experiences. This shift contrasts with older enthusiasts who often remain loyal to Cuban cigars. Christian also shared his thoughts on the transformative impact of social media on the industry.

A Delightful Dinner

After Christian’s talk, we enjoyed a delectable supper in the company of industry friends. It was also a pleasure to meet “London Cigar Smoker” in person. His blog and Instagram have been invaluable resources for both novice and seasoned cigar aficionados.
